Seeking the Arcane in the Everyday. A fleeting moment of transcendence from the mundane and elemental. A state of ambivalence or uncertainty toward reality. It fuels a desire to embrace the irrational, absurd and incidental emerging from the subconscious in the belief that breaking down barriers of reason facilitates an active imagination. This is the basis for creating pictures that can capture a glimpse of the arcane through a creative/visual transformation whereas both personal/subjective observations and rational alterations (of reality) interact within theatrical, cinematic, and art historical modes of presentation.
